A personal automation assistant that keeps a family organised.
HermesAgent is a self-hosted, personal-use automation tool. It runs on the owner's own
computer and performs scheduled background tasks on their behalf — there are no other users,
no public sign-up, and no hosted service.
What HermesAgent does
School email digests. Reads its owner's own Gmail inbox on a
schedule and summarises messages from their children's schools (Kendrick School and
Whiteknights Primary School) into a short evening digest delivered to their phone.
Calendar awareness. Reads and, on request, writes to the
owner's own Google Calendar — term dates, parents' evenings, bin-day reminders and family
events.
Daily briefs. Combines upcoming calendar events and urgent
email into a short morning briefing.
How it accesses Google data
HermesAgent uses the Google Gmail and Calendar APIs under a strictly personal,
single-user OAuth grant. It accesses only the account of the developer/owner who authorised
